EXPO PACK México Connects Industry, Prepares to Set Records

CDMX, Mexico; May 16, 2024 — The biennial EXPO PACK México (June 4–7; 2024, EXPO Santa Fe Mexico, Mexico City) will be the largest in the show’s history. Produced by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, the most comprehensive packaging and processing event in Latin America will showcase more than 700 national and international exhibitors presenting solutions for over 40 vertical markets.

Attendees are expected to travel to Mexico City from throughout Mexico and Latin America, as well as other parts of the world, and benefit from the show’s many networking opportunities and strong focus on education, sustainability, and market trends.

Nine international pavilions (Brazil, Canada, China, the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, and Taiwan) reflect the market's global nature. Exhibitors offer solutions for organizations of all sizes. The AMEE stand will celebrate winners in its Envase Estelar competition. Endorsed by the World Packaging Organisation, this competition recognizes innovative packaging designs and concepts, groundbreaking creativity, and ingenuity.

Other EXPO PACK highlights include the Opening Reception, the educational Innovation Stage program, the Young Professionals Breakfast, and keynote addresses at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Sustainability is a major theme, with an opening keynote address on Tuesday, June 4, focused on carbon neutrality with speakers from leading brand owners such as Natura México and Grupo Hada. Exhibitors with sustainable products and services such as biodegradable packaging, new packaging reduction processes, recyclable and recycled-content materials, or technology to reduce carbon footprint are easily identified by the EXPO PACK Verde program icon at their stand and in the online exhibitor directory.

Keynotes on Wednesday and Thursday focus on other hot topics. For Wednesday, June 5, the Latin American Chapter of the Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network (PPWLN) has organized a panel with representatives from Walmart Mexico & Central America, Unilever Mexico, and the World Packaging Organisation to discuss Gender Equality and Diversity in the Packaging Industry in Latin America. On Thursday, an expert in artificial intelligence (AI) will describe how the technology is revolutionizing packaging, as well as related challenges, opportunities, and innovations.

Each day of the show, the Innovation Stage program presents half-hour sessions by exhibitors and leading organizations such as CANAFEM, CANAGRAF, ANPDAPAC, IFT, AMEE, and ISBT. Various topics will be covered, including sustainability; automation; coding, designing, and printing; plants, infrastructure, and operations; materials, containers, and consumables; Industry 4.0 — digitalization; and leadership.

PMMI’s Young Professionals Network will host a free networking breakfast from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5. An executive panel will share their career journeys and leadership insights.

The Vision 2030 Breakfast, which will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, June 6, provides another opportunity for exhibitors and attendees to network. This interactive session focused on Technology, Maintenance, and Strategy will center on training challenges for operators and maintenance staff, training technologies, future opportunities, and barriers to implementation.

EXPO PACK México 2024 will provide a platform for industry professionals to share knowledge and address needs related to sustainability, personnel, efficiency, supply chain, quality, consistency, testing, technology, costs, and planning.
