Visitors will find solutions inspired by the main trends that drive the growth of the industry

Mexico City, March 22, 2018.- Continuing its role as the leading and largest packaging and processing event in Latin America, EXPO PACK México 2018 (Expo Santa Fe Mexico, Mexico City, June 5-8), presents attendees multiple innovations to solve challenges facing dozens of vertical markets, according to show producer PMMI,  The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies.

The innovations that the attendees will see at EXPO PACK México 2018 address specific solutions to critical customer challenges highlighted in PMMI’s Vision 2025 and 2017 Evolution of Automation industry research reports.

"Greater health awareness, convenience and cost are the packaging preferences and key factors among Latin American consumers as confirmed by the Vision 2025 research,” said Gerardo Barajas, EXPO PACK director.  “These trends determine the technologies and solutions that you can see in our show.”

These solutions are focused on the trends that drive the growth of the industry, such as labeling, coding and serialization, food safety technology, sustainability, snacks trends, advances in automation and processing.  This includes safety line equipment designs for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and petrochemical industries; flexible manufacturing systems for the pharmaceutical, food and confectionery industry; 360° needs analysis from health-food safety, production, engineering, financial, security and sustainability approaches and novelties for craft beer packaging that seek to optimize its production process.

As costs decline for implementing automation, even small to medium sized consumer packaged goods companies (CPGs) are beginning to see the value in taking steps toward automating operations to address operational issues. The 2017 Evolution of Automation report also addresses automation pain points such as implementation, incorporating design changes to maximize technology, the gap in skilled labor and the continued development of industry standards for automation.
