The Future of Packaging: Megatrends


Mexico City, April 2019.- EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2019 (Expo Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco June 11-13), the largest packaging and processing event in Latin America brought its “The Future of Packaging: Megatrends” tour through Latin America, visiting San José, Costa Rica, Bogotá, Colombia and Guatemala City.

The roadshow was led by Lilián Robayo, media director for Latin America at EXPO PACK Show producer PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and included lectures about technological and consumer megatrends in the packaging industry. Robayo highlighted ways companies can get ahead of the game and profit from emerging market opportunities in E-commerce, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the Circular Economy.

"It is important to know and analyze megatrends as transformative forces that impact every step of the packaging supply chain, from conception to its practice in companies in Latin America and the world," Robayo said, offering gathered packaging and processing professionals a broad vision of packaging and its future in Latin America.


She also extended an invitation to observe these trends firsthand at EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2019.


EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2019 will bring together more than 800 exhibiting companies and 16,000 attendees over 15,000 square meters in Expo Guadalajara.
